Grade 5
Be on the lookout for your child's test folder, which probably will be distributed approximately every ten days. Folders must be viewed and returned on the next school day. Please don't forget to verify the number of tests in the folder and return all tests. Do NOT keep the tests home. They will be filed in the classroom.
TEST FOLDERS
CLASSROOM "STAY" FOLDERS
Please do NOT empty your child's "STAY" folder. Some materials need to be kept by the student. Parents sometimes do not know what the student needs. THEY need to be responsible for their own papers.
CLASSROOM BOOK CLUB
ALL are members of this club. As explained in my welcome letter, your child must read 5 books to qualify for a club card redemption. The student MUST have a "book chat" with a parent or other adult before a signature is placed on the card. Be sure to sign for each book talked about. Currently our class has read 40 books. Our goal is 1,000. I know we can do it. Besides, a popcorn/video party is on the horizon if we succeed. We need all students to participate.
